We're not going to take pleasure in someone getting injured. Chipper Jones has had a good career and been a stand up guy throughout. But this does increase the Phils' chances of overtaking the Braves in the NL East.
Jones' agent told ESPN that he has a torn ACL and that likely means season (career?) ending surgery. Chipper hasn't had a great year by any standards, but his injury is a HUGE blow to the Braves, who are 2 1/2 games up on the Phils.
Oh, this is too bad. I hope that Jones gets better… After we win the division.
He is a great career it is time for him to start writing his HOF speech.
Well, it could be Karma. I know at least one Braves fan who was taking pleasure in all the Phillies injuries this season, but now he won’t return my messages about this. I swear I wasn’t contacting him to taunt. I just wanted to convey my concerns.
I myself I wish Chipper a speedy and complicated-free recovery. Even if he was on the Mets, he’d still be one of the classiest players in the game today. Unlike some other Mets players (pitchers).
