Joined by pretty much the best-looking guy ever, Glen Macnow and Anthony Gargano announced today that Villanova basketball would have its games broadcast on WIP.
WIP very briefly had the broadcast rights for four major sports teams, but, this spring, the Sixers and then Flyers switched over to 97.5 The Fanatic (I’m told Ed Snider was pissed that the Flyers playoff games got bumped to 610 AM in favor of Phillies games on 94.1). So Villanova will now fill some of those available time slots. And from a guy who somewhat creepily shook Jay Wright’s substantial hand after his Cats beat Florida to advance to the Sweet 16 in 2005, I couldn’t be happier.
Now if only Wright would draw up some inbounds plays…
smart move to ditch the predicted best team in the city , reigning co-Big 5 champs, and preseason A-10 favorites who return every player from last year for a mediocre nova team who was the worst team in the city last year…
Can’t hear the 76ers now on that crappy low power ham radio station.
