I’m so tired from not really practicing at all last week

Cary Williams, complainer, vented after the game yesterday that he’s tired from practicing so hard during the week. This morning, Chip Kelly called in to the WIP Morning Show and shared something interesting about how hard Cary Williams worked this week:

“Cary actually didn’t really practice last week. So he was limited—he missed Wednesday and Thursday, just did some light things on Wednesday and Thursday and then Friday is obviously a walk through for us. So we monitor all of our players on an individual basis and then kind of what they can do and can’t do. So, we’re practicing the same way we’ve always practiced.”

You know what though, maybe Cary Williams is tired because he barely practiced. Like those days when you barely do much and are kinda tired all day. Or, maybe he’s a gigantic idiot. Chip said he’d talk to Cary this week, and when it comes to his team’s energy:

“I believe we’re the freshest team in the fourth quarter. I think that if you look at what we’re doing in the fourth quarter of games.I think if you look at what we’re doing in the fourth quarter of games I thought our defense came up huge. Malcolm Jenkins two weeks in a row with interceptions in the fourth quarter was big for us. To force them after that short punt to go four straight downs and out at the end of the game and they were close to being in field goal range. I thought the way our whole team played in the fourth quarter obviously shows what type of conditioning we have.”

The full audio of Chip’s call is over here, and we’re awaiting Cary Williams’ response, but hopefully he’s sleeping in so he rest up for this week, because he has to continue playing football.
