No one, not even the man currently in charge, is expecting the Phillies to contend this year, and rightfully so. So it’s no surprise that the Phillies’ World Series (super early) odds aren’t very high. But second lowest? Yeah, that sounds about right.

Last year, the Phillies tied with the Kansas City Royals at 33/1 odds to win it all (the WS Champ Giants were put at 18/1), but this year they’re second from the bottom— though four teams are tied with the worst odds. Here’s what the odds look like:

Chicago White Sox 40/1
Milwaukee Brewers 40/1
New York Mets 40/1
Chicago Cubs 50/1
Miami Marlins 50/1
San Diego Padres 66/1
Philadelphia Phillies 75/1
Arizona Diamondbacks 100/1
Colorado Rockies 100/1
Houston Astros 100/1
Minnesota Twins 100/1

Below the Mets. Below the Marlins. Well below the Nationals (tied for best odds at 15/2) and way behind the Braves (22/1). It’s gonna be a long, ugly, stretch, but a necessary one. It’s The Phillies Way!
