The roundup:

Tim McManus on a potential beef between Chip Kelly and Howie Roseman:

There have been persistent rumblings about shifting dynamics behind the scenes: Namely, that Kelly and Roseman’s relationship has cooled and that the collaborative process between coach and general manager is not where it once was (Kelly and Gamble remain tight, per sources).

Kelly’s clout within the organization is growing as his methods continue to bear fruit. There is a shared optimism internally that this head coach has what it takes to deliver the city its first Lombardi Trophy. From designing schemes to running  an efficient, culture-conscious program, Kelly has delivered in a number of areas. When it comes to the draft — an area that Roseman performed well in when he assumed command in 2012 —  Kelly’s level of prowess is less defined. The more control he gains, the more he will be held responsible for successes and failures in every facet of the operation.

And we look forward to Chip never answering one of Tim’s questions again.

Michael Barkann got vicious on DC-based ESPN-er Britt McHenry, who tweeted this throwback pic of herself:

Voila_Capture 2014-11-24_09-51-59_AMVoila_Capture 2014-11-24_09-52-06_AM

Barkann responded (and since deleted) a Tweet saying (paraphrasing): Crazy how modest [or humble] you are.

McHenry fired back:

The sexism charge is a little over the top, and one female reporter reached out to me and was eager to comment how much of a disaster she thinks McHenry’s Twitter is, but who doesn’t love a good unnecessary Twitter beef? If I were Barkann, I would’ve left the Tweet up.

– Bill Cosby voice – YA SEE, IF YOU PUT THE ROOFIE IN THE JELLO THEN MAYBE SHE’LL FORGET WHO SHE IS AND YOU CAN FORCE YOURSELF UPON HER! -end Bill Cosby voice- Yeah, he’s fucked.

Jim Cramer’s tribute to his pop, who passed away last week:

Pop loved going to the Eagles games with me. We had season tickets with my buddy Tom McGrath. Pop got pneumonia sitting outside during a playoff game in 2005. He never wore more than a light jacket. He was real sick when we went to the Super Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla., to see us lose to the Pats. He wasn’t going to miss it. After his bout with pneumonia, Tommy and I split a box so he wouldn’t get cold again. We didn’t like to miss games. He couldn’t go this year, as he was too frail, but three weeks ago he told me he was going to the Titans game this Sunday and that he would be willing to use his walker or a wheelchair.

We sat next to each other every game and he loved cheering, especially on their third down, so the opposing quarterback wouldn’t be able to think. He loved the crowd in the box, including the CNBCers I brought. Especially the crew. He loved the crew guys. And the anchors. He always said, “Call me Ken,” but they always called him Mr. Cramer. He will always be Mr. Cramer. I will always be Jimmy. We buried him with his Eagles hat.

Video here. Good luck watching that. Just a few hours before he died last Wednesday night, Cramer’s dad said to the CNBC star, “Jimmy, now we know why Sanchez was just a backup to Foles.”

Odell Beckham:

A lot of people were tweeting that Jason Avant made the same catch a couple of years ago:

Disagree. Even if you set aside context, Avant’s catch, while great, was nowhere near Beckham’s. Good hands Avant palmed the ball. Beckham caught it in his fingers. Two, to be exact. Ridiculous.

The best of the Odell memes here and here.

Howard Cosell, a bad guy.

Aaron Rodgers trolled the Vikings. <3 you, Aaron.

Reuben Frank’s the good:

Twenty-one carries for 130 yards and a touchdown. Over the last seven weeks, McCoy is averaging 95 yards and 4.5 yards per carry. That’s legit production. The Shady of old? You got him.

The bad:

And the ugly:

The Eagles allowed 24 points to a team averaging 16.8 points per game with a rookie making his fourth career start on the road during a short week.

Those “We Want Dallas” chants you heard on you TV? Mark Sanchez heard them too: “We’re in the third quarter and people are screaming about the Dallas game while this game is still gong on. It’s something special. I’ll get into it throughout the week.” And Trent Cole added on: “If you can’t get excited about this game, you shouldn’t be playing.’

Jerry Jones on the Thanksgiving matchup, and pretending he’s ever been on a farm: “We prepared during our bye week for Philadelphia, so we’ve got some hay in the barn.”

Let’s throw Sproles back there and see if we can’t make it three:

Someone was back in town for the Eagles game:

The New York Post called Sanchez’s play “Jets-esque” and had some other things to say.

The turnovers are a problem, and as Elliot Shorr-Parks points out, the Eagles are in bad company:

After Sunday’s win, the Eagles have a negative-nine turnover differential on the season. The only teams with a worse turnover ratio are the New York Jets, Washington Redskins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Oakland Raiders. Combined, those teams are 7-36, an ominous sign that the Eagles are playing with fire when it comes to winning despite turning the ball over.

The Eagles’ website is ready for Thursday.

Chip Kelly on the short week that leads to Dallas:

“We’ve looked at them a lot … They play extremely hard on the defensive side of the ball. I think that’s the one thing that really jumps out for you, and then obviously offensively they’re running the ball at a very, very high rate and putting up a lot of really good yards in terms of what [Dallas RB] DeMarco Murray is doing, and then you’ve got a great quarterback in [Dallas QB] Tony Romo, you’ve got a great tight end in [Dallas TE Jason] Witten, got some outstanding receivers, so it’s going to be a heck of a game on Thursday.”

Traditionally, Jason Garrett’s Cowboys are terrible this time of year: “Since Garrett took over midway through the 2010 season, the Cowboys are 10-13 from Thanksgiving on.”
