According to reports, trade talks between the Sixers and Celtics (likely Okafor OR Noel for the #3 pick with a sweetener or two thrown in for good measure) have been heating up with the Sixers wanting to take Providence’s Kris “Chris” Dunn in that spot. The source of the info is actually Tim Welsh, former Providence coach from BEFORE Dunn played there, who said on CSN NE:

“Philly has told Kris Dunn’s camp and his agent they are trying to push the buttons to have this happen before the draft. They’ve been in Providence locked in to the city talking to everyone that’s ever encountered Kris Dunn. They are putting the full court press on the Celtics to acquire the third pick. It could go down in the next two days, so we’ll see. Boston has the upper hand in knowing what Philly wants.”

Tim Welsh isn’t exactly the world’s most reliable source, but this is a trade that has been rumored for some time, and Bryan Colangelo has not been shy about his affection for Dunn. The #3 pick is probably about as high a value as you’re going to get for Okafor straight-up (Noel can maybe fetch a bit more).
