Carson Wentz and Dak Prescott will be compared to each other until the day they die. High pick vs. low. Big vs. small. Philly vs. Dallas. Cowboys fans can’t admit that Wentz is anything but trash (while we Eagles fans show only the utmost patience and respect towards Dak). But if we’re going to compare them, why not use an intricate and mysterious set of metrics determined by the good people at Pro Football Focus:

Of course Dak’s rushing grade is higher and of course Wentz’s short (pass) grade is better. The most impressive part is that every Wentz grade is higher than the league average, and that his grade against pressure and the blitz is so high. As PFF’s Steve Palazzolo said in the responses to the image, there isn’t much contextual info because he made this chart of Dak and then just threw Wentz on at the end to see how they compare. Of course, because it’s Twitter, he had to answer for using only Cowboys colors on the graph, which is one of the kinder responses he received about the whole comp. But here, I fixed it:

dak-v-wentz-2

Wentz and Dak face each other in a couple of weeks, at which point I’m sure this will be settled forever.
