The NFL’s investigative team, surely led by this man, is still looking into the sexual assault claim levied against Nelson Agholor this off-season. No charges were filed, the Eagles pursued no discipline, and they moved on to Agholor’s on-the-field issues. But not the NFL. They’re still digging.

According to a source close to the situation, the NFL sent its Director of Investigations, Kia Roberts, to Cheerleaders last week — at the same time Eagles head coach Doug Pederson was debating whether to make Agholor inactive or not.

Roberts, a former assistant district attorney in Brooklyn, interviewed several employees at the South Philadelphia gentlemen’s club about the alleged incident that took place between Agholor and a dancer in the club, June 9. She also watched video tape the club had from that day and listened to an audio tape.

The NFL already talked to Cheerleaders employees last month, so they’re either doing seriously intense due diligence (as they should), actually finding things, or just bullshitting. But at least Agholor wasn’t smoking weed to deal with a shitty medical condition. Then they’d be dropping the hammer.
