Charles Barkley has never been known as a tight-lipped man. Tomorrow’s NBA on TNT pre-game show will announce the starters for this year’s All-Star game, and Chuck may have let it slip on The Fanatic this morning that Embiid didn’t make the cut:

“I can’t tell you who’s on the list, because now we’ve got to work on our reserves. I think there’s an outside chance that I’m going to put [Embiid] on my all-star reserves, just because I think he’s reinvigorated the Sixers and the city of Philadelphia.

I haven’t made a final decision yet. But there’s an outside chance I’m going to pick him as a reserve.”

The coaches vote for reserves. Media and players vote for starters. So while Charles likely already cast his actual vote (if he has one, which he probably doesn’t), he’s talking about Embiid possibly being a reserve on his roster for the broadcast. He’s either purposely throwing you off the trail, or he totally let it slip that Embiid is not a starter. This is Charles Barkley, which do you think is more likely?
