I am now fully convinced that the Sixers are going to mistreat Joel Embiid’s meniscus injury and ruin him forever.

About a year ago – A YEAR AGO! – Jahlil Okafor suffered a shin contusion that turned into season-ending surgery to repair his torn meniscus. The relatively routine procedure led to Okafor starting the season on the Sixers’ patented minutes restriction.

Fast-forward to this weekend, when Okafor missed a game with soreness in the same knee he injured last year. And now comes news that Okafor is doubtful for the game tonight against ah who cares. Keith Pompey, writing words, one after the other, in sentence form:

76ers center Jahlil Okafor is listed as doubtful for Monday night’s game against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Wells Fargo Center because of a sore right knee.

He has been dealing with knee soreness since having surgery on March 22, 2016 to repair the meniscus in the knee. The injury cost the NBA all-rookie selection the final 23 games of last season.

A FUCKING YEAR LATER. Just in case you didn’t think the Sixers could mismanage a basic knee injury to the point that it’s still a problem a year later… think again. More hilarious is that the Sixers fist-fucked away their center glut over the span of four weeks and had to call up a D-leaguer just to form a complete roster for tonight. There are way too many recurring injuries to be a coincidence and prevent me from saying that the Sixers medical staff blows.
