The Eagles hope to enter the bye week with eight wins as they take on Denver Sunday afternoon at the Linc. The Broncos are starting quarterback Brock Osweiler after lackluster performances from Trevor Siemian.

To recap, here’s where the staff stands after three weeks:

1: Bob (8-0)

2: Tyler (7-1)

T3: Chris, Coggin, Kevin K, Kyle, Tim (6-2)

T8: Kevin L, Phil (5-3)

10: Anthony (2-6) (2-3, according to Anthony)

Our predictions (some of them are still coming in) for this week are after the jump:

Phil: Eagles fans understandably look for things to worry about. This game against the Broncos comes right before the bye week. Maybe the Eagles are due for a letdown. Maybe the Broncos will hit Wentz early, take the air out of the ball and make the game ugly. Enough already. Denver is starting Brock Osweiler, on the road, against a 7-1 team that has everything to play for. Oh, and the Broncos host the Patriots next week, so that looking ahead stuff goes both ways. Past Eagles teams found ways to blow games like this. But that’s all over now. Eagles 26, Broncos 17.

Bob: This is a tough game for the Eagles, and under different circumstances, I could see this as a game that gets away from them. Everybody talks about the Denver defense, but the Broncos have allowed 24.3 points per game over their last three contests. They have the second-ranked run defense (behind the Eagles), but have allowed 102.3 rush yards per game during that same span. Meanwhile, Denver has scored only 18.1 points per game this season. That number has dipped to a brutal 9.7 points per game in their last three contests. Now, they turn to Brock Osweiler, who was cut by the Browns this summer, to stop the bleeding in what will be a cross-country trip and their third-straight road game. It ain’t happening. Eagles 23, Broncos 16.

Coggin: What can you say about Brock Osweiler? Well…he’s tall…he’s fairly handsome…he makes a tremendous amount of money playing football, but he actually kind of sucks at it. When you can’t cut it on the Browns carousel of shitty quarterbacks, what kind of success do you think you’re going to have against this Eagles defensive line? The Broncos would have more success starting Brock Lesnar this week (holy shit, that would be awesome). Eagles 28, Broncos 6.

Tim: Brock Osweiler’s continued employment should be Exhibit A in Colin Kaepernick’s collusion case. Denver’s defense is stout, but their inability to move the football on offense has driven the Broncos from the ranks of the elite teams in the NFL. The Eagles will likely rely on their ground game, bolstered by newly-acquired Jay Ajayi, to keep Denver’s pass rush at bay. Heading into the bye week, the Eagles will be 8-1. Eagles 23, Broncos 13.

Anthony: Sometimes I can’t get out of my own way. I finally picked another Eagles win last week (that’s two since joining CB) and yet, I still can’t find myself confident that the next one will also be a win.
Look, the Eagles are a better team than Denver and the fact that the Broncos are starting Brock Osweiler at QB is utterly hysterical. But this is a desperate Denver team. They have a great defense and should be better than 3-4. Meanwhile, the Eagles have been cruising and have a non-conference opponent before a vacation week. It just reeks of an upset this week. I hope for all of you I’m wrong again. This time though, I think I’m not. Broncos 23, Eagles 20.

Kevin L: ???

Chris: Two very strong run defenses go against each other. I’m expecting a big game through the air. Little scared with the linebackers, but you have to realize Denver’s going to Brock Osweiler. That’s still hilarious to say. I don’t think Ronald Darby plays, even if he’s active, and I think we see Jay Ajayi in a limited role. It’ll be a close one. Eagles 24, Broncos 20.

Tyler: Some say this Denver Broncos defense does not get enough credit this season, especially the run defense, however, I’m not completely buying into it. That Denver defense may cause some fits for the stable of backs the birds now have, but the Eagles have the leading MVP candidate to assist through the air if need. If this game was in Denver, I’d be more worried, but it is at the Linc and I think the Eagles continue to roll right into the bye week with another win. Eagles 24, Broncos 17.

Kevin K: It will be similar to the start of the 49ers game, with the Birds’ struggling to move the football. Jim Schwartz’s defense will demolish Brock Osweiler as the Eagles pull away in the third quarter. Eagles 21, Broncos 13.

Kyle: This game worries me, but that 7.5 point line makes me feel much better. We’ll find out what the line looks like without Jason Peters against a good front. But the Broncos offense is too bad to have a shot. Eagles 23, Broncos 13.
