We are doing a live podcast from Carlino’s in Ardmore next Thursday, January 11, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

What’s in it for you? First off, FOOD. Excellent food. Russ has been stuffing his face with Carlino’s since his college days in West Chester, and he thinks you should, too. Carlino’s will be laying out a sampling of their gameday menu, perfect for tailgates, game watches or just everyday gluttony. Among the selections:

Tomato pie

Strombolis (consider this my official invite to Zoo With Roy)

Buffalo chicken dip, cheesy crab dip, and artichoke dip

Wings– classic, herb roasted, and, of course, spicy and delicious

Antipasto featuring the finest selections of meats and cheeses and homemade Crostini

Not sold yet? Well, you should be, because I can assure you eating that food spread will wow you much more than meeting me or Russ in person. But just in case you need a sweetener, Carlino’s will offer 10% off their gameday menu to Crossing Broad readers and give away at the event a $500 catering order for your big game party. $500 worth of food. Think about that for a minute. That’s almost as much as Jahlil Okafor used to eat before games (pre-vegan).

More about Carlino’s: I love places like this. As a half-Italian, I grew up eating food the likes of which Carlino’s serves up. But even better than their homemade pasta and meatballs, Carlino’s offers excellent gameday snacks– be it wings, dips, platters and so on. Here’s a sample of their gameday menu from last year— it will differ slightly this year, but you get the idea. Consider this my special request for the broccoli rabe and sausage DIP (what sort of mad genius turned them into a dip?).

Anyway, come out for a live podcast on January 11, enter to win a $500 gameday spread, and be sure to visit Carlino’s in Ardmore and West Chester for all your face-stuffing needs.
