I don’t get it. Howard Eskin was usually spot-on with information (Flyers injuries, Eagles). Most of you don’t like him, but I never minded him– grating, but good, he was. But his 2013 isn’t off to hot start: Andy Reid to Arizona, hockey season being over, called a dumbass by Curt Schilling, said Erin Andrews being filmed nude in her hotel room was the greatest thing to happen to her, jumped the gun on Nnamdi, laughed at by Cary Williams.
And it’s only April.
You can add another one to the list.
For some reason, Eskin tried to weigh in on Sidney Crosby taking one to the face (a puck, that is):
I'm not hearing good news bout #penguins Sidney Crosby. Being told he is likely out for rest of season with concussion symptoms
— Howard Eskin (@howardeskin) April 4, 2013
Captain Sidney Crosby visited with teammates and Penguins personnel on Thursday, prior to an optional practice at Consol Energy Center. Crosby did not speak with reporters, but teammates reported him to again be in good spirits. He had surgery to repair a broken jaw and a dental procedure since taking a puck to the face in the Penguins’ home win over the New York Islanders on Saturday afternoon. Crosby likely will require at least one more dental procedure to fix his teeth, but his jaw is not wired shut and he continues to show no concussion symptoms. Crosby has not resumed off-ice workouts and is out indefinitely.
Eskin, usually pretty good with Flyers injuries at least, is once again wrong about a hockey-related story. Puck Daddy also points out the time Eskin claimed James van Riemsdyk was intentionally holding up a trade.
To Eskin’s credit, though, he was fairly spot-on with the Bynum thing.19 Comments
