Do the Flyers really need to be hawking tickets to local viewers at the start of every period?

NBC Philadelphia has the ability to take over the broadcast of network events, so they have teamed up with the Flyers to crawl an ad for season ticket plans at the beginning of every period thus far in the series.

This seems like such a desperate move.  We know hockey is not what it once was, and even the Flyers have to get a little more creative to sell tickets, but shrinking the screen during the Stanley Cup Finals to do so?  Come on.  This feels oh so AHL.
