The Eagles acquired guard Reggie Wells from Arizona today in exchange for an undisclosed draft pick.  Wells started 90 straight games for the Cardinals dating back to 2003.

The move gives the Eagles more depth in front of Kevin Kolb.  According to Sal Paolantonio, the Eagles are concerned with Kolb's ability to read the blitz, and that is the main reason for rushing Jamal Jackson back.  Earlier this week, Jackson said there was a 99.9% chance he would play in week 1.

Adding a veteran guard should help stabilize the line- then again, Wells isn't that good.
