DeSean Jackson joined The Junkies this morning on DC’s 106.7 The Fan.  He gave some outstanding insight into Andy Reid’s play calling, and his thoughts on going over the middle- just got to be a boss about it.

He said the Eagles script anywhere from 15 to 20 plays to start a game and they know at least the night before what they’re going to run.  The deep ball against LaRon Landy on Monday Night Football?  That was scripted early in the week.  What’s it called?  “Spread right, fake something, Z deep post.”

Jackson is the “Z” receiver.

On his concussion and playing in the NFL:

“I’m safe here, I’ve been some other places [LA, growing up] and through some wild things.  I feel safe here [football field]… But it’s dangerous out there… got guys 300 pounds, 6’8.- they guys don’t care about nothing and they got families to feed just like myself.”

On going over the middle:

“Imma be real, imma tell you the truth, man.  It’s dangerous out there, just know that.  And when I’m going through certain ways and I’m in the middle of the field, like I just, I’m aware of all that.  I mean, at the end of the day, you can’t be a girl and be scared, you know, just be a boss about it.  And the end of the day, don’t get me wrong, you think about that stuff.”

On the Packers defense:

“They whole everybody a beast, but we got beasts too, so it’s all good.”

The world needs more DeSean Jacksons.
