Ian Kinsler decided to opine on Michael Vick and DeSean Jackson today. When asked about his teammate Michael Young, who requested a trade from the Rangers, Kinsler went with this analogy: [ESPN Dallas]

Texas Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler insists that Michael Young will be sitting right beside him in the clubhouse when full squad workouts begin on Sunday.

"This isn't DeSean Jackson or Michael Vick or Manny Ramirez," Kinsler said. "Michael Young is a professional. It would be completely out of his personality not to be here."

Kinsler, one of Young's closest friends on the team, believes that Young will come in and go to work to prepare for the 2011 season.

Thanks for weighing in, Ian Kinsler. Gee, what do those three guys have in common…..? Perhaps (teammate) Josh Hamilton's exploits could have been considered unprofessional, too.

To the best of my knowledge, neither Michael Vick nor DeSean Jackson have ever sat out. Jackson skipped voluntary workouts last spring, but attended training camp and kept mostly quiet- sans Twitter– regarding his contract situation.
