Not too long ago, I saw former Phillies and soon to be ex-Astros GM Ed Wade at Villanova, where his daughter worked as a manager for the basketball team. I seriously thought about walking over to him, gently squeezing his ass, and whispering into his ear, “Thanks, Ed.”

But that would have been weird, so I just kept walking, silently celebrating the myriad stars he has sent our way: Brad Lidge, Eric Bruntlett’s beard, Roy Oswalt, and Hunter Pence.
