Fuck you, groundhog.

There, that’s out of the way.

The Sixers are really goddamn good. Like, really good. They thumped the best team in the league last night, 98-82. Sure the Bulls were without Luol Deng and Rip Hamilton, and the fans weren’t treated to McDonald’s – summed up by Malik Rose: nobody’s happy unless they’re gettin’ something free – but, who cares? The Sixers are very legitimate, and here’s a stat to prove it to you: [via John Buccigross]

The Sixers are outscoring opponents by a league-best 11.6 points per game this season. Their home record is now 12–2, with eight of those wins coming by 15+ points.

I’m trying to fight it, but… but… I can’t: 1…2…3…4…5…SIXERS.

Shit. There’s no escaping the song. I don’t like it, but it might not be worth fighting. I feel like I should just let it get me off and be done with it. Go ahead, song: 10…9…8…76ERS

It’s not just me who can’t fight it, either. Even the courtside guest list has improved over the last few weeks. Goodbye Jeremiah Trotter and Ron Jaworski, helllllo Claude Giroux and DeSean Jackson.

As you can see in the above picture, in what includes the most awkward rando positioned between courtside athletes in quite some time, G, D-Jac and Max Talbot all enjoyed the game. Of course, D-Jac was tweeting pictures of his “Lil Bro,” Derrick Rose, but whatever– I’m over DeSean.

Reader Jaret reports that Wayne Simmonds, Zac Rinaldo and porn star Mary Carey were also there. Carey is presumably in town for Wing Bowl, which is where we captured this picture from last year.

And while pseudo Phillies reliever Michael Schwimer wasn’t in attendance, he was dialed in to the game:

Thanks, Schwimmm.

A couple more pictures of G and D-Jac after the jump. 10…9…8…76ers.

Dammit!
