Not to pat myself on the back, but… it’s a slow day.

Move over, CSN’s overplayed “insider” status*, there’s a new state media scriptual on the scene, and this one works for the team (!!!).

The Flyers have officially announced the addition of Anthony SanFilippo as their super-double-secret-probation embedded inside reporter, which we told you about last month, to take you inside during the season and tell you all about the great things going on this offseason.

SanFilippo, a former Delco Times beat writer will: “produce exclusive written and video content, driving Flyers fans to PhiladelphiaFlyers.com as the ultimate destination for Flyers news and information

In addition to producing web content, SanFilippo will also act as a communications liaison between the team and its fans, cultivating relationships with them through digital communication, primarily in the areas of social media.”

You can read the rest of the press release after the jump… or, you can read our post from last month. It’s the same thing. You can follow SanFilippo on Twitter (@AnthonySan37).

*They realize their insiders are just reporters, right? Like, Dei Lynam, Tim Panaccio et al. ain’t inside a thang… they’re just reporters. Whatever.
