Let’s get cartoony on your ass.

First up, the (always entertaining) Eagles Week 1 splash cartoon. Each week, the Birds roll out a cartoon in anticipation of the upcoming game. Sometimes they’re lame, sometimes delightfully fun. This week’s? A campaign theme. We’ll give it a 6 out of 10.

Next– I missed this on Tuesday while on a plane for 12 hours, but the Eagles officially launched their branded version of Angry Birds with a real-life version of the game in Love Park (for real, the one day I get stuck on a plane the Eagles pull off a ridiculous PR stunt with stuffed birds being launched into a green fountain. DAMMIT). Earlier in the summer, the team announced a partnership with Rovio, makers of the popular-two-years-ago iPhone game, which will include the co-branded game, scoreboard animations, and other, presumably more intrusive and annoying marketing exploits.
