Roy Halladay Ain't No Turkey... and He's Apparently Not a Fan of Erik Kratz, Either

I don’t think that’s the right call.

Really?

Better get used to it, kid. You’re in the Big Leagues now.

That exchange, between Erik Kratz and a fake umpire during a Godshall’s Turkey Bacon commercial, might as well have been the same one that took place between Kratz and Roy Halladay after Justin Upton hit a two-strike bomb off Halladay last week.

Kratz wanted the pitch down and in. Halladay wanted it up.

Neither happened.

Here’s what Halladay had to say after that game:

“We talked about going away to him,” Halladay said of the pitch to Upton. “If we were going in, we were going to stand him up. We went in with a low target, which isn’t what we wanted to do. You’re not going to get him out there. What I wanted to do wasn’t executed.”

So, catching Halladay tonight for his second start of the young season? Humberto Quintero. More than one scriptual took to the Tweets to point that out:

Of course, if we’re being fair, it’s worth noting that, while on the mound, Halladay didn’t step off, shake off, or otherwise dispute that pitch and its location with Kratz. He also missed the target by about 10 inches.
