Lots of late-day Flyers “news” yesterday. Here’s a brief recap if you missed any of it:

The Flyers are reported to be the frontrunners to trade for restricted free agent Jonathan Bernier, whose (potential) signing would surely spell the end of Ilya Bryzgalov’s overpaid run in Philadelphia.

And then the Flyers were, again, tied to Bobby Ryan.

And then Bryz’s agent said that the Flyers assured him that Bryz would not be amnestied.

And then Paul Holmgren tested out his silly time bazooka by saying that the Flyers made no such assurance to Bryz and his agent. Fun.
