Did Chip Kelly Do Something Unconventional Today?

Apropos of absolutely nothing, here’s a Gram of DeSean Jackson’s girlfriend

He did.

And it’s starting to bother the help.

Last week, Michael Vick and his inflated sense of self-worth and ability spoke out against Chip Kelly’s refusal to name a starting quarterback before camp. Yesterday, DeSean Jackson chimed in – perhaps because he’s rap-battling friends with Vick, or just because he’s an idiot – and said that he, too, wants to know who his quarterback is going to be.

Speaking to NFL Total Access via NJ.com, here’s what D-Jac had to say:

“The team wants to know too,” Jackson said Tuesday on NFL Total Access. “We need to go into training camp prepared and know who is going to be our starting quarterback.”

This is the other side of the rainbow for Kelly, the one Mike Freeman wrote about. We love Kelly’s tactics now, but if the Eagles don’t get off to a strong start, neither the players nor the fans are going to cut him too much slack for his shenanigans (right now, they’re delightfully unconventional things… after a 0-3 start in September– shenanigans). Jackson went on to say that he’s happy with his role and that he will earn his starting spot. But he wants to know who’s going to be throwing him the ball.

  • Yeah... June 12, 2013 at 9:04 am

Jackson should probably just STFU and worry about catching the ball and running his little ass off.

    • bill June 12, 2013 at 10:50 am

shouldn’t Jackson worry about if he’s starting?! He can’t be effective in the short game.

  • Jarred June 12, 2013 at 9:09 am

Honestly this season won’t matter at all. The fact is this team can probably at the most win what, 7-8 games? That’s not a playoff position. They should play the young players and try to get a top 3 pick. This draft class is absolutely stacked.

    • ThePhillyFlash June 12, 2013 at 9:19 am

Agreed. It’s not like Jeff Lurie has to worry about attendance taking a monumental nose dive if the Eagles stink like week old diapers. Last season’s 4-12 (which should’ve been 2-14) train wreck was proof of that. I’m all for Chip developing his young players and building a solid contender like Andy did in the early years of his reign instead of opting for the quick fix which may or may not produce lasting results, as in a Super Bowl run. If that’s not good enough for Vick and Desean, then they should ask to be traded and get the hell out of town.

      • FACE June 12, 2013 at 9:21 am

Absolutely. Clowney will go 1 and there are a lot of franchise QB’s in this class, unlike last years garbage. Give Chip some time and let him build a winner.

    • Arthur Pang April 2, 2014 at 7:35 pm

How many games did eagles win last season?

  • FACE June 12, 2013 at 9:20 am

Chip HAS TO be given slack. He can’t fix it all in one year. He is changing defensive scheme’s and rebuilding the D from the floor up. It’s going to take time. The offense could possibly be fun to watch at times, but like Jarred said above, I don’t think they get to 10 wins. 9-7 is probably their ceiling, which is fine. The expectations aren’t very high this year. The funny part about that statement is that with how bad this division is shaping up, 9-7 and a record above .500 within the NFC East might get them into the playoffs. Crazy thought.

They should be buying into the system and proving to the new guy that their worth keeping around instead of worrying about the depth chart…and the media should stop asking them about it as well.

You can tell by her hair that she has a hairy asshole 🙁

  • Hop Devil June 12, 2013 at 9:43 am

    Time to cut bait.

  • Tfor3 June 12, 2013 at 9:43 am

They probably should start 0-3. Which is why I already pre-emptively hate the callers and bloggers ready to fire him after a bad start and bitching about what they are praising now.

  • Informed June 12, 2013 at 9:47 am

first, where did mesean meet her? the local high school prom? secondly, im guessing he is attracted to her because they both share the same physique?

anyway, hiring kelly was a risky venture from the start. because we were all so happy to see andy leave town, no one really took notice just how much of a questionable hiring chip kelly truly was. now, im not saying chip is a crash and burn in the making. however, with this eyebrow raising system that he is attempting to employ i just dont see any middle room. i truly believe we will either see a 16-32 record OR a super bowl win in 3 years. its going to be one way or another and the key to either one is whether or not these eagles buy into his system. thus far, it looks like some are not on board. so, does that cancerous belief spread or do you send packing those not on board.

    • ThePhillyFlash June 12, 2013 at 10:33 am

Which is why Vick should NEVER have been brought back so he could become a potential problem in the first place. The new broom that’s Chip Kelly was supposed to have swept clean, instead, he made the mistake of leaving dirt behind in a corner, and it’s wearing #7. As for Desean, I’m long since tired of him, he hasn’t remotely been the same exciting player since Dunta Robinson popped him two years ago, and his punk-ass antics off the field are both childish and embarrassing. Chip needs to grab this team by the scruff of the neck and tell everyone that he’s the big dog and won’t put up with ANY bullshit. And he needs to do that IMMEDIATELY!

    • Me June 12, 2013 at 1:36 pm

“secondly, im guessing he is attracted to her because they both share the same physique? ”

And probably the same level of brainpower.

      • Informed June 12, 2013 at 2:30 pm

mesean is a joke! he has had 4 straight years of declining numbers in yards and TDs. meanwhile, he has done ABSOLUTELY nothing to his body to make himself more a threat. he has added no muscle since entering the league. now, i know someone will contest that by saying if he adds weight, then he loses speed. well, then that puts us back point A….he is merely a track star trying to play a man’s game.

  • Your Mother June 12, 2013 at 9:54 am

Is that D-Jac’s love juice dribbled on her face and belly in the picture on the right or is it my imagination?

  • Nolan June 12, 2013 at 10:03 am

Oh he wants to know does he? Bench them both, fuckin cut them both I dont care. But Vick needs to go anyway there was no reason to bring him back. We want brains to teach the youngsters, not an idiot. Plus Djax backing up Vick? Thats to be expected, because hes a moron too. did you hear anyone else saying anything? Everyone with brains dont say this kind of shit. Vick hasnt won a single playoff game here. Get over yourself. You spent your peak of your career in prison. Chip Get control and show them whos boss. Dont question my authority, dont rush me, and most of all dont put yourself above anyone on this team.

  • MM June 12, 2013 at 10:41 am

I’d give kelly 3 years slack if he manned up and cut both these assholes.

My developer is trying to persuade me to move to .net from PHP. I have always disliked the idea because of the costs. But he’s tryiong none the less. I’ve been using Movable-type on various websites for about a year and am concerned about switching to another platform. I have heard great things about blogengine.net. Is there a way I can transfer all my wordpress content into it? Any help would be really appreciated!
