UPDATE: DeSean Jackson’s publicist says he is not seeking a new agency or Jay-Z:

If I said to you, Hey, you, which athlete do you think is most likely to fire his agent in favor of Jay-Z?, is there anyone other than DeSean Jackson that would have crossed your mind?

Tim McManus broke the story yesterday: [Philly Mag]

Rosenhaus helped negotiate a five-year, $47 million deal for the wide receiver in March of 2012, $15 million of which is fully guaranteed.

According to two sources, the split is at least in part over money. Specifically, that there is money that Rosenhaus feels is owed to him that has yet to be paid.

DeSean Jackson has parted ways with agent Drew Rosenhaus, according to multiple sources.

McManus added that the possibility remained for a reconciliation between the two, which wouldn’t be the first time Rosenhaus was fired and then re-hired by an Eagle. LeSean McCoy did it to Rosenhaus last year, and, at the time, Rosenhaus allegedly had some not nice things to say about Jackson, who was reported to have owed Rosenhaus money.

So where now does the Jay-Ay-Doublecee-to-the-Pot soon-to-be rap mogul turn for representation? Jay-Z, of course. Jeff McLane with that follow-up report: [Philly.com]

DeSean Jackson parted ways with agent Drew Rosenhaus last week and could sign on with Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports, according to NFL sources.

The Eagles wide receiver has to wait five days after he files paperwork with the NFL players union before he can start auditioning other agents.

Jay Z and his group, while new to the sports world, have already signed a number of high-profile clients. New York Jets rookie quarterback Geno Smith recently fired his representation and went with the rapper’s agency.

If you’re keeping score at home (I do these things), DeSean can now be directly connected to: Snoop Dogg, T.I., Meek Mill, Chris Brown and Jay-ZFootball!
