He didn’t.

The Eagles will begin their full training camp today. Chip Kelly’s funhouse will hold its grand opening, with organic treats and supplement-injected refreshments for all in attendance. Music will play, children will dance, and a robotic voice will tell players what to do like Big Brother from a creepy futuristic horror flick. It will all be… different.

Different than what Andy Reid did, and does.

And that contrast carries onto the field, too. Remember that whole thing about Reid not being a fan of the run? Well! If the first two days of camp in Kansas City are any indication, he still prefers the passing game. From an article entitled, “Chiefs keep airing it out on day two of rookie and QB camp“:

It was all passing, all Wednesday morning for the Chiefs’ quarterbacks, rookies and selected veterans. The Chiefs have not attempted a running play during the team portions of the first two days of camp.

Sure, it’s early. But I almost feel bad for the people of Kansas City. They don’t know what they’re in for. Stubbornness. Unpreparedness. Lazy excuses. And, of course, lots of passes.
