Miguel Alfredo Gonzalez – who went from $48 million man to fifth starter to can’t get big leaguers out – had his first spring start pushed back after he missed camp with an illness on Monday. The new plan was to have him start tomorrow, Saturday, against the Yankees. But now, for some reason, he’ll reportedly make the short trip to Tampa but… won’t start:

Not a huge deal since it’s, you know, February, but we’ve seen literally no positive news with regard to Gonzalez since he was signed. Everyone thought the Phils were getting a third starter. Now it seems like their getting a fringe roster guy who’s first spring appearance oddly keeps getting pushed back.
