Jim Jackson’s unreal call: “10 seconds remaining. One last rush for the Flyers. Streit to Giroux. Can the captain pull off a miracle? THE SHOT, HE SCORES!!! Miracle delivered! 3-2 Flyers. Giroux delivers the game winner.”

Claude Giroux stepped in over the blue line, readied his magical wrists, and fired a game-winner between Duncan Keith’s legs, over Antti Raanta’s shoulder, under the crossbar, nothing but net. Game over. G wanted to go home with two.

I’d like to take a moment to thank Steve Yzerman for setting Giroux on fire. Thanks, Steve. G’s top-shelfer from just above the right circle was his way of paying homage to your Game 7 double-OT goal against the Blues in 1996 and waving his freak flag in Canada’s face.
