DeSean Jaccson sat down with DJ Skee last week, and since sports news originating from non-sports outlets generally travels much more slowly, the sports world has just today discovered the interview.

Predictably, D-Jac defended allegations from teammates contained in this Joe Santoliquito piece, he called out the media, and talked about why he’s so great. The ushhhhe. [Transcriptions via Dan Steinberg of DC Sports Bog, who is quickly discovering the joys of blogging about ya boi].

On the locker room issues:

“The funniest thing, man: all this stuff like he’s not a locker room player, he don’t get along with his teammates, the people that really know me, they’re like ‘Man where is all this coming from?’ ” Jackson said. “I had teammates texting me and hitting me up, teammates that’s still on the Eagles right now, like ‘What were they talking about you ain’t a team guy, you don’t get along with people in your locker room?’

“Everybody in the locker room loved me, you feel me?” Jackson went on. “I’m gonna put it on the line just how they gonna put it; I’m gonna put it on the line for them too. So it’s like, I know who my real homies are. The real homies stepped up. My boy LeSean McCoy, one of the best running backs in the NFL, he stepped up, he said some real stuff. But in this league bro, a lot of people are scared and afraid to speak up, because they feel like they’re gonna be the next one cut. They feel like they’re gonna be the next one cut. So the ones that really did step up and speak up, I salute all of them.”

So DeSean’s reasoning for why nobody defended him, which may or may not be accurate, is that players were afraid they would get cut by not toeing the party line. Interesting.

As for the media? You’re not going to believe this, but the only people that gave DeSean a fair shake, DeSean feels, are former players, Stephen A. Smith and Arsenio Hall:

“All the NFL reporters, I could say a lot of names but I’m not even gonna get into that,” Jackson said. “But as far as the Marcellus Wileys, the Willie McGinests, Antonio Pierce, you know I respect all them dudes, because they understand where I came from. They was raised on the same level, you feel me? The Arsenio Halls, Stephen A. Smith. You know I had a chance to go on with Stephen A. Smith, to go on with Arsenio Hall. All these dudes kind of was raised and was born kind of the same way we was raised and grew up through the slums. So it’s like forget all the allegations, man; the real ones that know me know I’m a good guy. I go out there and I put it on the line for my teammates, you feel me?”

On the Gram:

“You know, I changed the Instagram name; it’s not Jaccpot10 no more, it’s 0ne0fone, you feel me? Even though 0ne0fone actually is number 11, because I’m number 11 now, but I still feel I’m one of 1.”

To recap: DeSean has now done his hard-hitting, post-cutting interviews with Stephen A. Smith, Arsenio Hall… and DJ Skeet.
