Getting married later this week, so you’ll be seeing a lot of new guy over the few weeks. Go easy on him, he’s nice. And as if getting ready for said big day wasn’t enough, my dog, Hayley, who got, like, six fucking vaccines last Monday, has been lethargic, weak, sore in the area of the shot and her hind legs, and hasn’t eaten well for about the last four days. Why the vet would give her those, like, six fucking vaccines all at once, especially when it’s only been two years (not the required three) since her last rabies shot, is beyond me… unless, of course, money. Took her back last week and they gave her the equivalent of Advil for the soreness, which is essentially a band-aid. No improvement since, and in some ways she seems worse. I’m pissed and worried, and taking her to another vet today. But if any of you are vets or have experienced something similar with your pet, I’d love to hear from you.

Oh, and congratulations to Jimmy Rollins, the Spurs and whomever else.

Let’s hit it!

But first, a word from our sponsors:

T-shirtsWe’re From Philadelphia And We Fight. Now in green. Get one.

Golf. Thanks to the folks over at Ron Jaworski Golf for hosting the kickoff of my bachelor party this weekend. We played Blue Heron and I was positively awful. It didn’t help that Jaws was literally standing by the first tee box to watch me hit a dribbler. Anyway, great courses.

More. Already have all of our shirts? May I recommended checking out Philly Phaithful.

Big names. Meet Roy Halladay, Brad Lidge, Connor Barwin, Nick Foles and Domonic Brown at upcoming Sports Vault signing. Details and tickets here.

Eagles tickets. Available, very affordably, on Crossing Broad Tickets.

The roundup:

All-time Phillies hits leader Jimmy Rollins is reportedly willing to accept a trade, according to Jim Salisbury:

The question remains: Would Rollins OK a deal?

Would he leave Philadelphia, the only big-league baseball home he has known?

Once again Saturday, he left the door open to the possibility.

“It really depends if everything is blown up,” he said. “Then you take that into consideration. If they blow everything up, then of course.”

So there’s that: Rollins has definitely softened his stance on being traded. He at least would listen to the possibility.

Least surprising thing ever. Before breaking the record, the Phillies could’ve offered Rollins a cross-country flight on a pair of Red Bull wings directly to the shortstop position with one of the two first place Bay Area teams, and he still would’ve declined it because, as we’ve discussed, Rollins wanted – needed – to break the record. He likes records. But now that he has it? Yeah guys, wherever. Anywhere but here.

ANDREW WIGGINS IS IN TOWN AND I WANT HIM TO STAY: From Yahoo!:

The Philadelphia 76ers are getting an extensive look at mutually interested ex-Kansas guard Andrew Wiggins during a team visit, sources told Yahoo Sports.

Wiggins flew to Philadelphia and arrived Sunday night and is slated to work out for the 76ers on Tuesday, sources said. The 6-foot-8, 200-pounder is also scheduled to get a tour of Philadelphia and other key sites on Monday. The 76ers own the third pick in the NBA draft, and Wiggins would be excited to play for them if selected, a source said.

Phillies beat writer Kevin Cooney lost his father, Kevin, last week. Yesterday, he wrote about him. Touching tribute and worth your time (though it may be behind a paywall for some).

Marvin Harrison shot at in Philly after helping a home invasion victim. Strange– we haven’t heard from Marvin since he was accused of shooting someone.
