Mo’ne Davis, who was already the star of this Little League World Series before she pitched in a national game, was absolutely dealing against Nashville, TN. Supported by a three-run home run in the first and a run scored on a wild pitch, Davis allowed only two hits in a complete game shutout while striking out eight. Her pitch count total also allows her to pitch next on only four days rest, which will make her available for Taney’s third game.

Davis has now thrown back-to-back shutouts for Taney — notching 14 Ks and allowing only five hits in 12 innings — and has shown that not only can she live up to the hype and the media coverage, but she commands it.

Taney’s next game, in which Davis cannot pitch, is Sunday at 7pm.
