The Sixers season is less than a week from tipping-off, and while we all know it’s going to be a long and rough road, it can also be fun to check out a game in person. There are no stakes, the place will be half empty, the beers are large. But, the thing is, the tickets are expensive. The quality of product on the court does not match the price points. That’s what the secondary market [Editor’s note: AND CROSSING BROAD TICKETS, DAMMIT!] is for. Last year, I had a lot of fun watching the Sixers lose to the Magic 101-90, marking their 12th straight loss at the time, mostly because I got three tickets for a total of $6. The Sixers know you’re going to do this.

How do you know they know? Because StubHub is gonna be all over the Wells Fargo Center this season. The team has announced an “extension of their wide-ranging partnership with StubHub.” That extension includes “signage on all basket stanchions and pole pads, courtside and 360 LED ring signage, and on the scoreboard,” as well as a photo booth and opportunity for fans to “create their own personalized, take-home hard ticket”… just so you can remember that 110-88 waxing. It’s almost like you’ll see more of StubHub than the Sixers at the game. Plus, did I mention I went to a game with two other people and it cost $6, total? And I went to the bathroom at halftime and I was THE ONLY ONE IN THERE? It’s wonderful. Sort of like:
