Stephen A. Smith should probably get fired soon.

Responding to Michael Carter-Williams’ swipes to which he’s already responded, Stephen A. Smith and his very loud, annoying and nonsensical mouth said the following words about MCW on Sirius NBA Radio on Friday:

“You’ve never going to have the last word over us. And you damn sure ain’t going to have the last word over me. I’m not going to start problems, but I can damn sure finish them. If these guys want to come at me, let them do it at their own peril. It will be a mistake.”

Some might call that a threat. Others, a vendetta. But neither word should be used to describe what an employee of the Worldwide Leader said about one of the subjects he covers.

Jason Mcintyre of The Big Lead posted the audio and wrote of Smith’s outburst:

This may have been the first time I’ve ever heard a media member levy threats on a millionaire athlete said media member is supposed to be “covering.” Did Smith think he was talking to some dude during a pickup basketball game at the Y? One of his colleagues in Bristol? Did he forget he was on a national radio show?

D) He’s just a moron.

This was all in response to MCW’s slight dig at the media in general (and Stephen A. Smith specifically) in a piece he wrote for The Players’ Tribune. But Smith, like so many others in sports media, is overly sensitive and can’t take even the slightest bit of criticism. He’s a clown, and if I’m, I’d punch him right in his big red nose the next time he came at me.
