Former Seahawks and Giants cornerback Walter Thurmond, who missed most of last year with a pectoral injury, has  been signed to a one-year contract by the Eagles. Thurmond and current Eagles cornerback Brandon Boykin got in a bit of a twitter beef last year, but now their paychecks are signed by the same man.

Thurmond becomes the 10th former Oregon Duck on Chip Kelly’s roster, but it’s unlikely he’s the last.

And in the hunt to replace Frank Gore who was supposed to replace LeSean McCoy, it looks like the Eagles may have found their man. Former Chargers running back Ryan Mathews is visiting the team today and, according to reports, is expected to sign by the end of the day.

Mathews spent the last five seasons in San Diego where injuries caused him to miss 14 games over the last three seasons. Mathews would join a running back group with Darren Sproles, Chris Polk, and any potential future draft pick.
