This morning, Troy Aikman video’d in from in front of a definitely fake window in what looks like a CIA safe house to speak with the Breakfast on Broad crew about Sam Bradford, Chip Kelly and more, in a “why am I awake right now” tone. He told Barrett Brooks and Rob Ellis that “it’s good for us at FOX when the Eagles are good,” sounding absolutely thrilled about it. Just so psyched. I mean look at this excited man in front of a definitely real background:

Aikman also agreed with two writers for a certain website who think the Eagles probably cut the Chip cord too early:

“I really think we’re gonna look back on this and say Philadelphia gave up on [Chip] too soon. The fact that you can win ten games in back to back years, be in the hunt for the division title … tells me there was a lot more to this than just what happened on the field. There must’ve been a lot going on behind the scenes that I’m unfamiliar with.”

There’s no point in continuing to hammer the point (until a certain coach succeeds in a certain bat-filled stadium). Aikman does seem to have confidence in Doug Pederson, too. But of course he does. They both belong to the Holy Shit Look How Big His Head Is club. It’s a brotherhood.
