Backing what we posted last night – that charges against LeSean McCoy may not come until next week – ESPN’s Mark Schwartz reports:

No decision on a possible arrest warrant for Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is expected Thursday, a high-ranking Philadelphia police official told ESPN’s Mark Schwarz.

McCoy is part of an investigation into an alleged nightclub assault against off-duty police officers that occurred Sunday. The official told ESPN that the district attorney’s office wanted to be thorough before determining possible charges.

Can confirm said thoroughness. We heard from investigators twice yesterday and once again this morning about our video. These weren’t follow up questions– they were separate requests for the video itself. So it seems to me officials are still in information gathering phase and not ready to bring charges (technical terms?) phase.

Meanwhile, McCoy has hired local defense attorney Larry Krasner.
