South by Southwest, the annual (decreasingly) hipster music, film, and more festival in Austin, Texas always features a ton of special guests and panelists. This year, one of those panelists is going to be the Eagles’ hipster extraordinaire Connor Barwin.

Barwin will be appearing on NRG’s Greening the Big Game Panel, along with NRG’s head of corporate marketing, the executive director of the Green Sports Alliance, and the president of the San Francisco 49ers:

In 2015, Super Bowl XLIX was the first to be played under energy-efficient LED lights. In 2016, Super Bowl 50 will be played at San Francisco’s Levi’s Stadium, a modern marvel with LEED Gold Certification, and the ability to generate enough renewable energy for an entire season of home games. In 2017, the game heads to NRG Stadium, with an EV parking lot, 600-plus solar panels, and energy-efficient LED lights. Pro football’s stadiums are becoming more sustainable, and exposing millions of fans to the ease and beauty of sustainable living. This panel examines the decision and process of going green, and determines the impact these decisions have on consumers’ renewable home energy choices.

Barwin will presumably give a players’ (and civic activist’s) perspective on making the game greener, in between catching dozens of bands and generally being the least-scrawny dude there. Barwin was also at SXSW in 2013 and 2014.
