Let’s Talk Matt Harvey’s Pee …

guessed weird sex disease, so I’m gonna claim half a point: Mets pitcher Matt Harvey’s mystery medical issue has been cleared up and he’s now set to be their Opening Day starter again. What was the issue? He held his pee too long (Liar, Liar was right!):

Yes, there is a whole new meaning to being a No. 1 starter now and when d’Arnaud puts down one finger for the Harvey fastball.

“It started with a urine infection and it created a blood clot in the bladder,’’ Harvey explained to reporters in the third-base dugout. “I guess the main issue is I hold my urine in for too long instead of peeing regularly.’’

Here’s a basic rule: If you hold pee for so long that you’re damaging your body, that’s nuts. At a certain point if it happens, it happens. You got greedy. You lost control. You’ve passed the event horizon. You can’t stop it. You had control and you lost it. But if you’re a grown adult and number two comes knocking at the door? You are at the mercy of biology. If you let a number one go, you screwed up. If a number two hits and won’t quit? You’re on your own, and may God have mercy on your soul and shorts.
