Baron Davis – two-time NBA All-Star, Goodwill Games gold medalist, and star of Joe Dirt 2 – is attempting an NBA comeback. And that comeback road is taking him through our First State.

Davis has signed a deal with the Delaware 87ers in an attempt to make one last run at the NBA. The 36-year-old claims he can still play 20 minutes a game, and he’ll get his chance to prove it with the Sixers’ affiliate in the defensively averse D-League. But before you get all excited about Davis filling the Sixers’ vacant 15th roster spot, that can’t happen. Yet.

The Sixers would have to negotiate a deal with Davis for his NBA rights, and with only 22 games left in the regular (and Sixers’) season, that’s unlikely to happen. But if you’re going to be swinging through the University of Delaware, watching Baron Davis play with the 87ers has gotta be more entertaining than most Sixers games.

After the jump, a sampling of what Davis has been up to recently.
