When you ask to be traded a week before the NFL Draft and swear you won’t show up to any team activities, you may think you have the leverage. But once you ask to be out, that’s your last demand to the team. You can’t then reply to the email and say “Here are some teams I don’t want to play for. Really appreciate it. XO, Sam.”

According to NFL media’s Jeff Darlington, that’s exactly what Bradford is doing. On the Mikey Miss show yesterday (via BGN) he reported that the Jets aren’t interested in Bradford, and that “Bradford is not interested in playing for Chip Kelly.”

There could be any number of reasons. Maybe he doesn’t like the way Chip’s breath smelled. Maybe Chip overheard Sam making a short joke about him and now Sam thinks it’s awkward between them. Maybe he hates Chip as a coach. Could be anything. But if the 49ers actually step up and offer something the Eagles think is worth Sam Bradford, he’s not gonna have any say in that.
