You would have thought that Adam Schefter learned his lesson about what to say and not to say on Philadelphia radio from the last time. You’d be wrong.

So we don’t get all swept up in the hoopla again, let’s set this straight right off the bat: Adam Schefter isn’t saying DeSean is coming back to the Eagles. He’s not saying he’s hearing reports that a return will happen. He’s not even saying it’s probable or possible. He’s saying that right now, it seems like the perfect storm of circumstances for a situation like this to happen. In his own words on the Fanatic this morning (via NJ.com):

“It’s so logical. There are certain things that you can just see coming from a mile away. We’ll see whether or not it ever materializes. With Philadelphia, the biggest need is at wide receiver. With DeSean becoming a free agent AND with him having as much respect for Doug Pederson as he does, every element that you can think of is in place there.”

Brandon Graham went on TV this week and said that DJacc told him he’d be interested in returning to the Eagles. Schefter is now saying the conditions are perfect. So if you were worried that the Eagles might not have an off-season storyline to be driven into the ground, they got one now.
