The Eagles cut down their roster to 53 players heading into the first week of the regular season. Following those cuts, the team then compiled their 10-player practice squad. Nine of those players are former Eagles, except for one, the quarterback, who may just be a spy:

Here is the full list of who is on the practice squad:

The roundup:

Penn State WHOOPED Akron on Saturday to open up the season, and early Heisman candidate Saquon Barkley had 172 rushing yards and two touchdowns in the win. Not only is he a freak on the field, but his attitude towards the game makes me want to run through a wall with him:

The Eagles play the Redskins this Sunday, but the “NFL team in Washington” won’t have Su’a Cravens, their 2016 2nd round pick because he is…contemplating retirement?

Did you think you had a rough Sunday because you had to deal with the family at a Labor Day BBQ? Well at least you weren’t this Detroit Tigers’ outfielder:

Sergio Garcia also wasn’t happy on Sunday, for some unknown reason (have you seen his wife?), and took it out on his putter:

The Phillies may be just awful, but at least all of their players don’t swing at a pitch and wonder if their nose is still there afterwards. That’s just a Mets thing.

Bill Belichick is the best:

The Ringer compares Doug Pederson to President Donald Trump.

Speaking of our Commander in Chief, he is reportedly stopping the DACA program.

While you may have been sleeping, Josh Rosen was bringing UCLA back from the dead in some PAC 12 action After Dark:

Western PA school, Slippery Rock University (pretty great party school, BTW), was all over SportsCenter with this great play from its season opener on Saturday.

Brock Osweiler is SOOOO bad that the Cleveland Browns CUT him this past weekend, while still owing him $16 million (!!) this season….the Broncos are so desperate, they signed him.

This is a major party foul:

A Temple University student went missing late last week, and early yesterday she was found dead…the story got a bit crazy on Sunday night when reports came out that a Lyft ride was involved. Horrible story.

Finally, to end this roundup on a more positive note, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs are just one game back in the wildcard entering Monday, which is the final day of the regular season.
