After a short week from a win against the Washington Redskins monday night, the Eagles return to the Linc to take on the winless San Francisco 49ers in what could be a game that features plenty of runs and short passes.

On the injury front, Ronald Darby (ankle) is the only player listed as questionable. But for another week, he won’t play, according to Ian Rapoport.

For the Niners, slot cornerback K’Wuan Williams (quad) and defensive end Aaron Lynch (calf) are both out. The team will have four defensive ends inactive for today’s game, with three of them on injured reserve. Starting right tackle Trent Brown (concussion), starting right guard Brandon Fusco (biceps), wide receiver Marquise Goodwin (back), and linebacker Reuben Foster (ankle, ribs) are all questionable. Head coach Kyle Shanahan isn’t expecting to have Brown, while Fusco will be a gametime decision. Goodwin is expected to play.

We’ll continually update this post as the game goes along. And check out our predictions to see how good (or probably bad) we guessed this game.

1:52 – Eagles go three-and-out, and the rain has started to come down.

1:48 – San Fran is at the Eagle 38. Instead of kicking for a 54-yard field goal or even going for it on fourth down, they punt.

1:34 – Ward has a forearm injury and his return is questionable.

1:31 – Jake Elliott makes a 40-yard field goal for the first points of the game. On the previous play, Wentz had an open Alshon Jeffery, but he just overthrew him. 2:36 to go in the opening quarter.

1:28 – Safety Jimmie Ward is down for the 49ers.

1:01 – Eagles win the coin toss and as they always do, they defer to the second half. We’ll see the defense on the field first.

12:41 – We might see Isaac Seumalo some more in today’s game:

12:32 – Carson Wentz is debating whether or not to use a glove on his throwing hand today:

12:22 – Jordan Hicks is on the field on crutches:

12:07 – Punts will be something to watch for today:

11:50 – The Celeks are catching up with each other:

11:30 – Inactives are out, and nothing interesting on the Eagles’ side. Taylor Hart, whom the Eagles signed earlier this week to add to their offensive line depth, is inactive. Chance Warmack is back in.

For the 49ers, right tackle Trent Brown and linebacker Reuben Foster are notables that are out:

9:00 – The Eagles are eager to find a replacement for Jason Peters, and it could be through a trade, according to CBS Sports’s Jason La Canfora. La Canfora Buffalo’s Cordy Glenn, Houston’s Duane Brown, and San Fran’s Joe Staley as possible options.
