The Eagles return home for the final two games of the regular season beginning with tonight’s Christmas finale against the Oakland Raiders. With a win, the Eagles can clinch home field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs.

To recap, here’s where the staff stands entering Week 16:

1: Bob (13-1)

2: Tyler (12-2)

T3: Chris, Coggin, Kyle (11-3)

T6: Kevin K, Phil, Tim (10-4)

9: Anthony (6-8) (6-5, according to Anthony)

Our predictions for this week are after the jump:

Phil: The Eagles are going to get to the Super Bowl. In the two weeks between their NFC Championship game win and their inevitable loss to the New England Patriots, the Eagles will point to this loss to the Raiders as the wake up call they needed. The Raiders aren’t a good team, but they have a pretty good quarterback and better skill players than the Giants have. The Eagles defense will have its last stinker of the season just in time to ruin your Christmas. Plus…you don’t think the NFL is really going to let Week 17 against the Cowboys be a meaningless game, do you? Raiders 30, Eagles 27.

Bob: I’ve referred to Football Outsiders’ DVOA statistic in several of my predictions this year. The Eagles sport the third best DVOA, while the Raiders are 18th by the same measure. That bodes well for the Eagles, as do the contextual factors. The Eagles are at home, a win secures home field advantage throughout the playoffs, and the Raiders are coming across the country to play what is a meaningless game on Christmas night in front of what should be a spirited crowd. Not an ideal mix. Eagles 27, Raiders 17.

Coggin: The only thing I’m looking for in this game is a dominant defensive effort. If you can’t hold a checked out Raiders team to 17 points or less, than it’s going to be a problem. Big Dick Nick will continue to guide a prominent offense to points, but the defense needs to slit the throat of at least one opponent going into the postseason. Let the blood spill over the scorched earth. Merry Christmas. Eagles 35, Raiders 14.

Tim: The Eagles have been wounded on defense, but what about the Raiders offensive performance this season tells you they have the ability to take advantage? They certainly couldn’t do it at home against an average Cowboys unit in a must-win game. The Birds will rebound on the defensive side of the ball, and Nick Foles will lead two touchdown drives. This effort, plus two field goals, seals the win- and home-field advantage through the NFC playoffs- for the Eagles. Eagles 20, Raiders 17.

Anthony: Guys. This one’s easy. Oakland is a dead team walking with nothing to play for. The Eagles need one win to lock up home field throughout the playoffs. No better gift for the fans than to do it on Christmas night. Eagles 37, Raiders 13.

Chris: Christmas is a time to give. The Raiders will give the Eagles a win tonight. The defense will also play better at home. Eagles 31, Raiders 17.

Tyler: The Eagles are in the driver’s seat and are actually a bit off the radar now in the NFC. Everyone is pointing to the Vikings as the favorites and I tend to agree, unless the birds’ sure up the secondary. That is the key to the win on Monday and in the postseason. If the defense returns to mid-season form, they’ll be set for a deep postseason run. I think the unit makes strides on Monday and then can rest and prep for the divisional round after that. Eagles 24, Raiders 14.

Kevin K: Eagles 31, Raiders 21.
