The Sixers’ injury report now takes up half of a normal-sized piece of paper.

Joel Embiid is officially listed as questionable for tonight’s game against Toronto. He missed the last two with back tightness and could miss two more, according to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

For what it’s worth, Embiid was present at morning shoot around, working a bit in the low post before taking some jumpers and three-pointers. Brett Brown doesn’t speak until 5:15 p.m., so we just sort of ask the players what they know.

“It’s probable,” said Robert Covington, when asked if he was “optimistic” that Embiid would play. “I would say that you never know how you feel. He felt good this morning, but it has to be continuous. You don’t want to rush that type of thing. He said he felt good, but it’s got to be continuous. It can’t be one of those moments where – I’ve had back tightness, too – and one morning I felt good, but the other I didn’t. It’s an up and down thing. You have to have a continuous stretch where you’re not getting that same tightness.”

“He looked pretty good to me,” added Richaun Holmes. “I don’t really know too much about what’s going on, I just know to be ready when my name is called. Hopefully he can go tonight.”

JJ Redick is out for this one with hamstring tightness and also listed as doubtful for Saturday night’s return trip to Toronto. He came out of Tuesday’s game with that right leg injury.

Trevor Booker is questionable tonight with gastroenteritis, a Sixer tradition unlike any other.

Joining those three on the injury list are Markelle Fultz, Justin Anderson, and Furkan Korkmaz, who are out with shoulder rehab, shin splints, and a Lisfranc injury, respectively.

Here’s what it looks like in print:

My gut says Embiid doesn’t play tonight, which would result in a starting lineup of Dario Saric, Ben Simmons, Robert Covington, Jerryd Bayless, and Amir Johnson. Holmes, T.J. McConnell, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot would come off the bench. Booker may or may not go.

We might be in for a rough outing against a Raptors team that boat raced the Sixers in October and has won 10 of their last 11 games.

It’s been.. a long December.
