Upset. Distraught. Unsettled. Sick.

I don’t know what word to use to describe how I feel, how you feel, how we all feel. Yesterday was the truest definition of bitter-sweet. The Eagles got the 43-35 win over the LA Rams and clinched the NFC East, but lost Carson Wentz to what appears to be a torn ACL.

Nick Foles entered the game and led the team to victory along with the defense hunkering down and making some key stops and forcing a fumble to earn the victory. In reality, what happened on the field was tremendous as the Birds are back in the driver’s seat for the top seed in the NFC and are the first team to clinch a playoff berth this year. However, all the eyes are on the status of Carson Wentz.

Wentz was seen with a brace and got carted to the team bus from the locker room:

However, before that Wentz was with the team in the locker room celebrating and it was lit:

Wentz himself even chimed in on Twitter:

He will undergo an MRI on Monday and according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the initial tests did not make it definite that it is a complete tear of the ACL, leaving some slimmer of hope for the Eagles this season.

I think we all felt the way Kyle did, and summed up well here:

I have so many thoughts. So many feelings. And yet, I can’t feel anything. I’m numb. At one point during the fourth quarter, as I paced around the family room staring at my phone in disbelief, my wife mentioned that she thought it was warm in the house. I wasn’t sure how to respond, because I couldn’t feel things. If anything, I felt a slight tingle in my left knee in oneness with Wentz.

Doug’s press conference at noon will be the biggest of his career, if we don’t hear of the results sooner.

Back to the field– the game was one of best back-and-forth battles I’ve seen in awhile, with any team. Re-live the roller coaster ride with our game thread. Also, see what the CB staff thought would happen in the game, with our game predictions.

The Eagles fans were out in full force all weekend in LA and definitely outnumbered the Rams fans at the Coliseum yesterday. Proof within. Also, our old friend Chip Kelly now works out there and Eagles fans found him:

There were a few LA fans in the stands and Chis Long had an encounter with one of them:

Back on the east coast, one Eagles fan was really busy this weekend:

Staying positive, with the win yesterday and the Vikings’ loss, the Eagles need to win just two of the final three games to get the top seed in the NFC. Even if the Eagles lose Wentz and have to play with Nick Foles, they can still get the bye and homefield by just beating the Giants and Cowboys down the stretch. If you ask LeSean McCoy, the Birds should not be worried with Foles under center:

It’s a shame the ending between the highly-anticipated Goff vs. Wentz battle finished the way it did with Carson leaving early. ESPN debated the former top two picks.

Keep it locked to CB for tons of more content on the game and the developing Carson Wentz situation. If we can, we’ll try to move on to other topics in this roundup.

A new rivalry may have begun down in Jacksonville as the Jaguars took down the Seahawks and at the end of the game, things got a little Malice in the Palace-esque:
