NFL Films released a clip from Inside the NFL tonight, and oh holy shit Nick Foles made the call:

“Philly, Philly?”

“Yeah, let’s do that.”

Here’s how Doug Pederson had described it after the game:

“We had a couple of options at that point, but then my eyes just kind of hit that play,” Pederson said. “I was thinking, ‘We keep talking about that play, and calling it in the second half of the game … but are we going to be in a situation like this, to put us up by two scores? There are certain plays that you spend time doing them, repping them, and you have no doubt they are going to work. Without a shadow of a doubt you know. I knew.”

Pederson called into his headset to Foles: “Target left bunch, Philly special.”

That’s from the MMQB recap of the play, so they may be speculating about the delivery. Foles said the decision was made during the encounter we see here:

Before the play, however, the Eagles called a timeout. Foles walked over to the sideline and he said that Pederson told him of his plan, and “we agreed on it.” As Foles ran back onto the field, Nelson Agholor, the Eagles’ gadget guy ran off.

Foles left out the part where he was the one who suggested it.

Now, Pederson of course deserves credit for agreeing to it… but it seems Nick Foles called the greatest play in Eagles history.

That may have been a hard decision, but this is the easiest one you’ll ever make. Get one:
