Some of your Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night. I’m guessing The Roots were excited about it (scroll to the 7:45 mark):

Zach Ertz was the star of the segment. With 2:21 left to play in the fourth quarter on Sunday night, Nick Foles connected with Ertz on an 11-yard touchdown strike that ultimately proved to be the game-winner.

I thought it was a touchdown. You thought it was a touchdown. Ertz definitely thought it was a touchdown; that is, until NFL replay officials took an agonizingly long look at the play. Ertz recounted the score and the ensuing suspense:

“I caught the ball at the five, and it seemed like I took three or four steps, and then dove into the end zone. And the ball hit the ground and then kind of wobbled, like, a yard past the end zone, and the NFL says they have to review every touchdown. So I think they’re just, like, going over there to just casually look at it, and then they just keep going over and over, and I’m like wait. What is going on over there? It seems like three minutes later they finally say it’s a touchdown.”
