I still can’t believe last night happened. Markelle Fultz played, YES PLAYED, last night.

And he looked pretty good doing so. Like he was the first player to record at least 10 points and eight assists in 15 minutes or less good. It was the first time that happened since…yep, Danny freaking Ainge.

When asked about his “shoulder injury”, Fultz stayed silent on those questions.

But he was happy about the crowd reacting to him playing. He thought they were cheering for Nick Foles.

As for the rest of the game, it wasn’t a good start. The Sixers didn’t have a lead until early in the third quarter and were down as much as 10 before gaining a ton of momentum en route to a 123-104 win. It was their seventh straight win.

Joel Embiid had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Dario Saric also added 20 (plus a fun jump). JJ Redick added 19, Robert Covington scored 18, and Ersan Ilyasova and Marco Belinelli each had 11 points. Ben Simmons had a near triple-double with seven points, 11 assists, and 13 rebounds.

They host the Knicks tomorrow night at 7 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

Michael Bennett surrendered to police in Houston yesterday and posted his $10,000 bond. He learned of his warrant while in his home in Hawaii and can travel back and forth while out on bond.

Bennett’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, delivered a strong denial to NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro:

“He just didn’t do it,” Bennett’s attorney Rusty Hardin said by phone to NBC Sports Philadelphia on Monday evening.

“I strongly feel that way and not just because it’s totally inconsistent with his whole history and not just because he says he didn’t. I’ve talked to other witnesses. We’ve talked to other witnesses who also didn’t see anything.”

Howie Roseman spoke about the Bennett situation yesterday at the NFL owners meeting. He also spoke about other football-related moves, including Nick Foles and his availability and wanting more draft picks.

Head coach Doug Pederson spoke with the media earlier this morning. He wants Darren Sproles back.

In Spring Training, the Phillies defeated the Pirates 6-3. Scott Kingery hit a homer and a double in the win. They’ll play the Pirates again in their Spring Training finale in Clearwater today at 1:05 PM. Looks like Jake Arrieta will take the mound today.

Speaking of Kingery, the Phils held a press conference to discuss his new contract and promotion to the big club. He’s had a nice couple of days.

Zach Eflin was sent down to Lehigh Valley in an important bullpen move before the regular season begins. But Tommy Hunter was placed on the disabled list with a hamstring strain.

The team’s Opening Day roster appears to be set.

Thursday also begins the Phillies’ radio experiment of three different Kevins in the booth with Scott Franzke for road games:

“It’s kind of a good way to deal with the situation without Larry totally stepping away to figure out and give us options long-term,” Phillies executive vice president David Buck said. “We’re not going to keep it as three guys doing half the games forever — that’s for sure. You can say it’s an extended trial for all three of them.”

Despite the rotating cast, one constant in the booth will continue to be Franzke, who has handled the full-time play-by-play duties since 2008. Franzke has worked with all three men during spring training, and that has allowed him to build a rapport with the new color analysts, who all bring different strengths, weaknesses and opinions into the booth.

“While it will be a different voice, you’re going to have three games in a row or six games in a row with the same voice. And so you get into the feel of it. You get to know how the rhythm of the team is working out,” Buck said. “Scott’s the key to this, and it’s harder on him than anybody to work with the different analysts.”

The Flyers look to give Dallas their ninth straight loss tonight as they take on the Stars at 8 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
