Two games and no offensive adjustments from Brett Brown. Throughout the series, Boston has targeted Ben Simmons by walling him off in transition and matching him up against Al Horford and others.

I’ve never heard of this Cranjis McBasketball guy before reading his thread about the lack of adjustments after two games, but the guy has a point.

The entire thread after the jump.

Gonna interrupt here. If this was a shooter like Covington or Redick or Saric, he would take that shot. Ben can’t shoot. That has to change immediately. Baynes and Horford are challenging Simmons to drive down the middle.

Continue.

So pretty much, Brad Stevens and company are out coaching Brett Brown and his staff. And Brown hasn’t adjusted to what Stevens has done.

Along with those adjustments, why not throw guys like Markelle Fultz in? Here’s what Brown said last night in regards to replacing TJ McConnell with Simmons:

“I think he has to learn how to play in these environments.”

So what about Fultz? They’re both rookies. They’re going to be in the playoffs for quite some time in the future. He’s going to have to play sooner rather than later, and he suddenly disappeared in the Miami series after a good game 1 outing. Put him in those situations as well. It’s a learning experience for all.

We haven’t seen any Justin Anderson either. And he played a meaningful role in the Miami series.

Adjustments will be big at home tomorrow evening. If the Sixers want to have a chance in this series, they’re gonna have to win game 3 and Brett Brown has to show observers that he can certainly adjust against a team without their two best players.

At least that thread was better than this:

This guy gets paid $3 million a year. Huh?
